Unlike 1D scanners, 2D scanners can read partially damaged codes without the need for precise aiming. This significantly reduces the operation time. They are capable of reading any type of code, allowing for more versatile applications. Additionally, 2D scanners have a lower risk of damage as they have fewer moving parts in their scanning module.
2D codes allow us to store significantly more data in the same area. This is especially important when we need to use small label sizes. Another major advantage is the ability to read the code even if it is incomplete. In 2D codes, it is possible to encode up to 2000 characters, compared to only a few dozen characters in a 1D barcode. The scanning module of a 2D scanner does not have moving parts, which greatly reduces the costs associated with potential maintenance and repairs.
In a new scanner, consumable parts wear out at the same rate as in a refurbished scanner (laser module, keyboard, touchscreen, trigger), while being offered at a significantly lower purchase price for refurbished equipment. Refurbished equipment is also covered by a warranty. When purchasing refurbished equipment, you receive full support and assistance from our technicians in terms of setup, configuration, and equipment connectivity.
